Syrian police have arrested a documentary filmmaker who has campaigned for human rights. Friends of Orwa Nyrabia have told the Reuters news agency he was detained before boarding a plane to Cairo. Police have also reportedly arrested actor Mohammad Omar Oso. The government’s crackdown on those suspected of being sympathetic to the opposition has also forced many in the arts community into exile. Al Jazeera’s Jane Ferguson reports from Amman, Jordan.
